Lost TV comedy 10

The "Doctor" franchise was a popular series of British sitcoms beginning with Doctor in the House in the northern hemisphere summer of 1969. That was followed by Doctor at Large in 1971, Doctor in Charge in 1972, Doctor at Sea in 1974 and Doctor on the Go in 1975. By 10 April 1977 when the final episode of On The Go aired, it had run for 137 episodes over nearly eight years....plus a short Christmas special episode of Doctor In Charge in 1973. These shows have been commercially available for over ten years now.
In 1978, about 18 months after the long running Doctor In-At-On shut down, two of its stars went to Australia to make a new series of 13 episodes to air in early 1979. This isn't the only time an ended British comedy was revived Down Under and I will be sharing others here.
To the best of my knowledge, I don't believe Doctor Down Under ever received an official commercial release. At one time, and in very short supply, a very impressive looking DVD release did make an appearance but I think it was actually a bootleg and it soon disappeared from availability. Currently, on AmzAust, someone claims to have a new copy for sale for 1700 Australian dollars. I bet if someone attempted to purchase it they would receive a "sorry, no longer available" reply.
