Varetta Dillard - Chronological 1952 - 1962

Good voice. Good singer. Little success. These 87 tracks span several genres......much to the displeasure of Varetta. She felt the record companies jerked her around, and she was probably right. I'm sure they did. Nevertheless, whether she was singing blues, rhythm, rock & roll or pop, she sang it well and left behind over 3½ hours of recordings all collected here in one go. These are tagged and titled so that they can all be copied to a flash drive and played in chronological order and at the same volume level. One song you won't find here - I recall once reading that Varetta was the backup singer on Mickey & Sylvia's version of Love Is Strange.

  1. Hello mr. Wikkid,
This is an amazing piece of work. Thanks a lot. I'm afraid that I said it before, but I like the label shots.

    1. Cheers, Smokey. I don't collect CD's, I collect music, and don't like having dozens of ripped CD's of the same material cluttering up my server. I have many of these chrono-type folders I put together quite a few years ago now and have been revisiting them as time allows and interest strikes me.
