Hey Great job here on Willie. I have 3 tracks you seem to have missed. Spring Fever, Walk Slow(Long version), and My Love-Is (underdub, Take 4). But thanks much as there were a few on here that I did not have and I have been chasing him to completion for a long time.
Spring Fever is #70. Walk Slow I have several copies of and they are all the same time, just under 2 minutes. I don't recall coming across a longer unedited version. I also have 3 copies of My Love Is and to me they all sound the same except 2 copies have the drums and bass very buried in the mix under the vocal while the third copy the drums and bass can be clearly heard and that is the version I've included here. I know Ace claims to have an alternate take but I couldn't find a master number for it so just assumed their "alternate" only sounded different. Sometimes Ace's "alt takes" are just someone saying "take 3" or something as the tape rolls. Good for their sales but doesn't mean much to me. Anyway, that's why I went with what I did.
Ahh-I was comparing alphabetically in itunes and I had a version that said Spring fever with no (I've Got) up front. The Walk Slow is def longer. First is 1:54. The one on the complete As & Bs is 2:41. As for the alternate take of My Love, it is a little longer and does sound a little different to me.
I don't have the CD Complete A's and B's and I've never used itunes at all, with no plans to, but I just listened to the 3 copies I have of My Love Is side-by-side / measure-by-measure. To me they are the same track with different mixes and the mix with the strong finger snaps and muffled bass & drums does have a slightly longer fade where he repeats the last line one more time than the single release. Plus, and I don't recall now, but if I made that file from an old single the crackle at the end may have been so strong that I just cut off the last line. Not sure. The Walk Slow single is the only copy I have and that does not have a fade out so must have been edited for single release. Without having the longer version I can't compare them to see where they made the cut. I haven't looked at Little Willie in a long time. There very well could be some more recent CD releases that I'm not aware of.
