    1. Well thank you. Same to you. All is well here and to be honest, the Chinese virus thing hasn't had much of an impact on me. Most of the stores are still open. Restaurants doing take out. Weather is beautiful so walking, cycling and kayaking are still a daily ritual....most days. The beaches are closed but due to open next week for exercising, but not sunbathing. I just wish I could get a haircut!

    1. Hi, Short answer: Yes. I've pretty much lost interest in this for now, but never say never. I may return at some point in time. I have many similar collections I've assembled over the past 20 years or so.
About 40 years ago I had a friend that did a weekly radio show on a Boston FM station that featured music mostly from the mid-to-late 60's, which is kind of funny now as at the time it was only 11 to 15 years old. Although I was not at all a "radio person", I was familiar with the equipment in the station's production studio so he sometimes asked me to fill in for him when he couldn't make it. I found the experience to be very strange as on radio you're basically talking to a wall and not to people. It's not a conversation. I really didn't care for it at all.
Back about 20 years ago with the launch of ebay I began buying and selling CD's and through these sales found a network of people with the same interests as me and with the development of audio compression and disc ripping etc. we all began sharing with each other our collections and when one person purchased a new CD it was ripped, converted and shared with all the others. We also began working of sessionographies and discographies as a group effort. I really enjoyed that as it wasn't a one-way flow of ideas and information.
To me the blog concept is similar to radio. You're sending out something to a concrete wall and it gets boring.
It seems most people that access blogs are like looters. They just grab everything they can because it's free and that is the most important thing. They don't even "open the boxes" of the merchandise they just looted and somehow they feel it's their entitlement to do so and if there is any feedback at all it is usually negative, which is like complaining about a gift for which you did not reciprocate.
So I've been using my free time to revisit past projects and see what can be done to improve them and to also research and create some new collections.
I may return to posting things here at some point, but for now I really haven't given it much thought.
      Cheers.

  3. On TZ the other day RYP shared that he gets about 8,000 hits a day. If everyone said thanks it would swamp the site. I think he feels that that number is a success. Maybe a nod (hit) is nearly as good as a thank you.
I hope to see you up again when the mood strikes you.
